Dhanbad Judge Uttam Anand Murder Case Update
The case came last year on the 28th of July 2021 and the accused in this case were said to be Lakhan Verma and Rahul Verma. The accused were convicted under section 302, murder, section 201, causing disappearance of evidence, and section 34 under the common intention of the Indian Penal code. The accused will be sentenced next week and the case will soon come to an end. This case was earlier covered by the media back in 2021 and the accused was later arrested and taken under arrest. After the victim got injuries on his head, he succumbed to the injuries and died. The case occurred last year when the accused hit judge Uttam Anand with their auto-rickshaw and at that time Uttam Anand was out for his morning walk. The accused took the chance and got the auto-rickshaw on him.
What Happened With Judge Uttam Anand?
As said by the prosecution the only motive for getting close to Uttam Anand and snatching his mobile phone, but unfortunately, the auto-rickshaw ended up hitting Uttam Anand and injuring him to an extent that he died succumbing to his head injuries. As prosecutors said it was a premeditated act that will be convicted under IPC section 302. The defense lawyer said that the action was not intentional and it was an attempted homicide not an attempt to murder. As said by Defense Counsel Kumar Bimlendu, the judge on Thursday announced that the two accused will be charged guilty of murder and the court took into account the only witness at the time of the death of Uttam. The witness said that the two accused were known of the fact that they were going to hit Uttam Anand.
Who Are The Suspects?
And CFSL reports suggest that the accused were not under any kind of intoxication or under any alcohol influence, which suggests that the two wanted to hit the victim. The witness was said to be Sharavan Kumar who was present at the crime scene at the time of the murder. Eventually, the judge will announce the punishments next week. The other witness who was going back from his duty and was at the road crossing was 53-year-old Sarban Singh who finished his night shift and was returning back to his home. Sarban said that he saw an auto rickshaw hit a man and the victim was bleeding. Sarban didn’t react at that time as he was a high blood pressure patient and a heart patient as well. Another witness said that he saw accused Rahul Verma getting out of the rickshaw.
